Design and develop online and in-person educational initiatives including webinars, education sessions and programs to build on RFMA’s mission to equip and advance the restaurant facilities management profession.
Oversees operational aspects of education and certification/credentialing programs.
Solicits and manages the design and development of content for RFMA’s annual conference. Works with Executive Director/CEO to hire and manage paid speakers.
Staff liaison to RFMA’s Conference Curriculum Committee.
Oversees the design, development and execution of content for RFMA online learning opportunities. Staff liaison to the Online Curriculum Committee.
Build on RFMA’s mission to be the resource for restaurant facility management professionals and the industry.
Manage and administrate the Certification Program (CRFP). Key contact with the test delivery partner. Responsible for communications with certification test takers and managing records for current CRFP designees.
Assists with development of budget for Education and Certification departments.
Staff Relationships The Education Manager reports directly to the Executive Director but must be able to work independently. This position works with each department to create alignment interdepartmentally. Works closely with marketing and communication to develop timelines and marketing needs for each education or online learning event, program or project.
Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in education development for an association or corporate entity. Strong project management skills.
Computer software skills – Windows & MS Office applications required; CRM application preferred. Above average internet navigation/search and data entry skills.
Good general administrative & organizational skills.
Work alongside and interface with subcontractors.
Problem Solving - Identify and resolve root cause. Think “outside the box.”
Communications - Excellent member interface skills, verbal and written communication skills and technical aptitude are required.
Leadership - Provide leadership to volunteer committees and task forces
Team Commitment - Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and beyond association boundaries is essential; must be a change agent.
