The Director of Software Applications oversees all software systems and technology services within IAVM (i.e., email, file storage, online communities, financial software, etc.), ensuring efficiency, quality, and the reliable integration with IAVM’s membership database Euclid/ClearVantage. The responsibilities also include identifying the best applications for the Association's needs, installing the software, and upgrading and repairing the software as needed.
To be successful as Director of Software Applications, you should have a strong working knowledge of business systems analysis, software maintenance, and vendor management as well as expertise with computer troubleshooting. Ultimately, a top-notch director should have excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adhere to deadlines.
Analyzing business operations and the Association's computer systems and determining which software applications could improve efficiency.
Making recommendations on whether to upgrade the existing systems or install new systems.
Monitoring the roll-out of new software applications to ensure there are no problems.
Troubleshooting and resolving any problems with business application software.
Creating and overseeing protocols and procedures for the use of any new software applications.
Training employees on the use of any new software applications and maintaining a good work atmosphere.
Managing all of the association’s accounts for multiple SAAS (Software as a Service) environments
Assisting the association and users in maintaining good cybersecurity practices
Creating, executing, and maintaining company databases.
Maintaining up-to-knowledge of the latest software developments.
Other Responsibilities Include:
Acts as an advocate for association and the content we create and disseminate by maintaining the member database and other software applications.
Supports and collaborates with all departments/team members.
Additional projects as assigned.

Practical experience in budgeting for existing and future software programs

Able to lift moderately heavy boxes and equipment
Bachelor’s degree in technology, IT, etc. preferred.
Professional experience may be substituted for education in the primary areas required for the position.
A minimum of seven years’ experience in IT/Software Applications.
Experience with Microsoft Office required.
Previous association industry or Euclid ClearVantage experience is helpful
