GMiS, a $3M non-profit, seeks a Managing Director of Finance. Candidates must have experience with federal grants and contracts accounting and audit. The incumbent will initiate, lead, and grow the accounting department. Initially, the department will consist of the Managing Director and the office manager as the part-time accounts receivable and accounts payable clerk. Hands-on tasks include preparing and analyzing financial reports, conducting audits, managing budgets, forecasting revenue and expenses by department, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The selected candidate will streamline our budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. Additionally, the successful candidate will produce thorough financial status reports for senior managers to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.
Candidates may be near Montebello, California (where most staff are located) or Silver Spring, Maryland (where the CEO is located). The position is considered for remote duties with some travel annually. Because GMiS is a federal contractor, candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents.
