NAN is seeking a detail-oriented Program & Events Manager to work collaboratively in the planning, implementation, and administration of a wide range of NAN activities. These include the Annual Conference, Spring Board Meeting, Capitol Hill fly-in, online learning opportunities, and other organizational programs and events, as well as aspects of NAN’s strategic plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Annual Conference & Events
Event Planning: Plan and execute all aspects of meetings, conferences, conventions, and other related events. This includes determining the event objectives, budgeting, selecting venues, abstract management, and coordinating logistics.
Volunteer Management: Build and maintain relationships with volunteers and internal stakeholders to understand event goals and expectations. Provide regular updates on event planning progress and address any concerns or requests.
Vendor Management: Source and negotiate contracts with vendors, such as caterers, audiovisual providers, transportation services, and decorators. Ensure all vendors are aligned with the event requirements and manage the delivery of their services. Serve as main point of contact for exhibit hall vendors at the Annual Conference.
Budgeting and Financial Management: Manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are accounted for and within the allocated budget.
Program Development: Collaborate with volunteers and leadership to develop event programs to ensure continuing education requirements are met, including scheduling speakers, contracting process, creating agendas, and organizing breakout sessions or workshops.
On-site Event Management: Oversee all aspects of event execution, including registration, set-up, audiovisual support, CE reporting, and attendee management. Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the event and ensure a smooth and successful experience for all participants.
Post-event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to measure the success of the event and gather feedback from participants and stakeholders. Use this feedback to make improvements for future events.
E-Learning & Online Continuing Education Programs
Develop and manage recordings of live workshop offerings in the digital platform to facilitate the registration process and course execution.
Work with course presenters to set schedules, gather CE materials, and provide technical assistance as needed.
Coordinate the review of all CE courses with the Education Committee to ensure CE requirements are met.
Maintain continuing education sponsor status with APA, other assignments as needed.
General Duties
Serve as staff liaison to assigned committees to support ongoing projects.
Assist Committees to develop event budgets and plan special events as assigned.
Manage other events as assigned for both NAN Inc. and NAN Foundation.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education
3-5 years of relevant association experience, CMP preferred. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from a (4) year college or university. Degree in Hospitality and Tourism preferred.
