We are looking for a membership professional, with a minimum of 5 years of recruitment, retention, data analysis, and member service experience. Someone who can effectively manage time, prioritize work, and multi-task across competing assignments. Experience with MemberClicks, as well as the latest in recruitment and retention strategies/tactics are essential. Our Member Services Manager shifts smoothly between direct problem solving with members (you manage our customer/member service), to the database and reporting management that support our progress toward goals, to leading the execution of our recruitment/retention strategies and tactics. You are very organized, a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, and you can identify and solve problems with a focus on results.
Membership Services Manager will report to the Executive Director and will be responsible for recruitment and retention strategies in line with TFDA goals and the implementation tactics. The Member Services Manager plays an important role in promoting TFDA member benefits. You will focus on creating value by delivering exemplary member service as manager of customer/member services, meticulous database management, fielding member requests as the first point of contact, answering member phone calls and emails, and producing membership reports. You are an advocate for members with that perspective in mind you will consider member benefits, access and opportunities, and offer recommendations to continuously improve the member experience to advance the TFDA mission.
This position is also responsible for maintaining the TFDA website, electronic calendar, and AP.
Significant interaction with members and regional chapter leaders, serving as liaison and providing administrative support to the Membership Committee, and Convention Committee, and the regional Chapters.
Marketing and communications, conceiving and executing membership campaigns, and providing website content for membership recruitment, retention, and related activities, as well as unrelated website contents updates, death notices, and other communications for general promotion of TFDA.
Meetings and Events, by ensuring data and processes that rely on member status such discounted meeting registration are accurate and reliable. Manages the membership outreach that is critical part of the Annual Convention and other conferences.
Manages relationships with key vendors.
Manage dues generation and renewal procedures for all members. Manage the timely invoicing of all members (digital & print)
Team directly with member leaders to identify and implement strategies to re-engage with previous members and promote TFDA with in the profession.
Identify, recommend and develop new programs and benefits to meet the evolving needs of members.
Own the staff team role as our MemberClicks expert.
Develop and expand standard and customized databased reports.
Maintain membership records and continuously update the membership database to ensure data quality.
Produce and evaluate monthly membership reports and analyze trends in data.
Perform other duties as necessary
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience and at least 5 years of recruitment
Experience working within a small team environment wearing multiple hats. You are flexible and understand the need to be nimble in a small organization, and working remotely.
Strong collaboration skills across levels. You possess leadership qualities, including empathy, and accountability, to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to address/resolve member issues quickly, using clear, thoughtful manner and “member first” service perspective.
Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products. Intermediate to advanced experience in MemberClicks. A digital citizen with advanced knowledge of excel, Survey tools, and data analysis tools. Experience with membership application and review process in other organizations is helpful as is basic web editing.
Creative and innovative with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines. You have a proactive and positive approach to process improvement and learn on the fly.
Ability to travel up to 15 days a year to TFDA meetings
