ECI is seeking aMarketing and Communications Manager to be responsible for the planning, delivery and execution of inbound and outbound digital marketing campaigns, external communications and other marketing activities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in marketing, communications and/or demand generation and is eager to help build and refine a B2B marketing process for a premier non-profit in the ethics & compliance and legal space.
This is an in-office position with occasional travel and remote work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Strategy: You will create and implement a comprehensive content and marketing strategy for ECI's products, services, and events.
Content Creation: You will develop content for our website, email campaigns, and other projects across a variety of channels.
Data-driven Marketing: You will measure, manage, and analyze marketing performance to maximize effectiveness.
Email Marketing: You will use Pardot to create and schedule various emails, newsletters, and drip campaigns to reach the appropriate segments and lists.
Event Support: You will work with the Events team to promote monthly virtual events and quarterly in-person events.
Multimedia Design: You will lightly edit images and videos for use on our website and social media or on landing pages you help design and optimize.
Everything Else: You will be a core member of our small marketing team and will be essential in the planning and implementing of the teams goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (i.e., marketing, communications, journalism or English, related field) or equivalent work experience.
5-7 years of relevant work experience, preferably at a membership association, higher education institution, or nonprofit organization
Extensive experience creating content for the web and growing a social audience
Strong interpersonal, project-management, and cross-functional communication skills
Well-versed in working with common marketing automation tools
Strong understanding of existing and emerging inbound marketing approaches, social media platforms, and search engine optimization
Proven experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, and data-driven marketing.
Demonstrated ability to distill complex ideas into persuasive and compelling messages for multiple audiences
Experience in strategizing, implementing, and managing social media campaigns
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the ECI’s mission.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment described below represent the activities and surroundings of the positions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
To perform the job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear on the telephone, and verbally communicate in person with individuals and groups. The position requires frequent keyboarding and use of a calculator. The employee may occasionally reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form.
The employee must be able to take instruction from multiple sources and prioritize appropriately. The employee occasionally will carry materials weighing up to 20 lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in an office environment.
Location: This position is currently located in Vienna, VA and will require working from the office a majority of the time. Due to COVID-19, we are still working remotely, but are beginning to plan the return to the office.
Travel Requirements: Due to COVID-19 there are no current travel requirements. When ECI returns to hosting in-person events, some travel may be required.
Salary commensurate with experience.
