Professional Standards Coordinator

Under the direction of and in consultation with the Director of Board Services, the Professional Standards Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Professional Standards Committee and Grievance Tribunals by the dissemination of ethics and arbitration materials and information, the volunteer members, and to the public in order to uphold and enforce the National Association of REALTORS®’ Code of Ethics. The Professional Standards Coordinator will process all complaints from inception to dismissal or until the full hearing and appeal process has been completed.

This is a full-time position in Austin, Texas.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as contact on matters related to the professional standards process as required by the National Association of REALTORS®’s (NAR) Core Standards and the Agreement for Professional Standards and Arbitration Services (agreement to provide services to the local associations in Texas).
• Process all requests for ombudsman, arbitration, mediation, ethics citation and/or ethics complaints in a timely manner.
• Gather grievance tribunals and prepare cases for grievance tribunal review on a timely basis.
• Gather hearing panels and provide administrative support and guidance to hearing panels with assistance from Texas REALTORS® legal department.
• Process all requests for appeal or procedural review.
• Maintain constant communication with parties, hearing officers, and panel members.
• Consistently maintain organized files for active and archived cases and upload files to a case management system.
• Gather and maintain professional standards statistics for internal and external dissemination.
• Schedule and promote committee trainings and update materials for trainings as needed.
