About the Job
The Learning Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating and implementing FEDA’s activities related to online and live member education, including on-demand, conference and special event learning. The Manager will guide the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of professional learning, focusing on FEDA’s strategic skills areas. The position also manages and supports the activities of FEDA’s Education Committee and affiliated work groups, and coordinates with the activities of FEDA’s Young Industry Leaders subcommittees.
Online and Live Education and Implementation
Manage and develop e-learning and live education courses for FEDA’s designated strategic skills areas, using new trainers and new training centered on the development of the digital, technical and human skills needed for future jobs in our industry, and on product (equipment) education course development, working with partner manufacturers to align their content with FEDA’s curriculum
Manage FEDA’s online learning management system (LMS)
Manage the delivery of education in multiple digital formats, identifying the best delivery channels and regularly updating learning methods to improve the user experience
Monitor and keep improving customer experience for FEDA’s e-learning and live learning by evaluating course curriculum, design, delivery, and customer service
Assess and implement the maintenance of certification credits offered for online and live courses, including developing associated quizzes and tests required for courses
Work with the Communications Manager to identify opportunities to engage in social media and utilize other communications outlets to raise the visibility of FEDA’s online and live educational programs
Manage communications with LMS users, including managing pre-course confirmation notices and post-course follow-up
Work with other FEDA staff to identify new opportunities and topics for member learning
Travel as required (minimal)

Experience, Education, and Other Requirements
Minimum bachelor’s degree required, training in instructional design highly preferred
Three to five years’ experience in related work, preferably with a trade or membership association, in the following areas:
Development of professional educational courses and products, including digital learning
Working with business professionals, association teams, and committees
Creation and/or management of certification or standards programs
Organizing, implementing, maintaining, and building content into a learning management system
