Summary of Position:
PPAG: The Pediatric Pharmacy Association is a member-driven professional society promoting safe and effective medication use in children through communication, advocacy, research, and education.
As Manager of Education, you will collaborate with member-based volunteer committees to develop and deliver continuing pharmacy education and recertification programs for pediatric pharmacists. Educational content is delivered through webinars, on-demand platforms, and in-person conferences. As PPAG’s educational content is crowd-sourced and peer-reviewed, you will be responsible for the proposal management and evaluation system, as well as event planning. Specific duties include:
Provide support to all education committees; including scheduling, agenda development, and drafting meeting minutes/record keeping.
Manage all communication and logistics with speakers at PPAG educational events and webinars
Serve as project manager for all content delivery processes, maintaining various project management systems for both live an on-demand programs.
Ensure compliance with Accrediting Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) guidelines for Continuing Pharmacy Education and with the Board of Pharmacy Specialty (BPS) guidance for Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (BCPPS) Recertification programs.
Help committees maintain adult learning strategies during the development of CE programs.
Develop schedule of events for webinar programs and live conferences.
Provide logistics support/staff support for two live conferences, webinar programs, and on-demand modules.
Help promote education content and programs via various online tools and social media.
Responds to questions from all stakeholders regarding PPAG education offerings.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required.
2-5 years of responsibility for the management and administration of education programs, including knowledge of the continuing education essentials and standards required.
Competency in all major business software applications (MS Office, etc)
Experience in either healthcare or pharmacy education preferred.
Telecommuting is allowed.
