The Manager of Membership & Marketing is an integral member of the Membership, Marketing, and Meetings team. This individual manages initiatives designed to promote ASLRRA benefits and services and deliver value to members; executes marketing campaigns for association events, programs and partnerships; and supports the planning and implementation of events throughout the year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Membership Services: Serve as key point of contact for members/non-members on requests for information and other assistance. Responsibilities include:
Input and process new member applications
Send out welcome packets; schedule 3-month onboarding check-in
Write new member updates for weekly newsletter
Input new contacts in database and create log-in credentials
Unlock accounts, create new passwords and generally oversee member database
Assist with exhibit sales, annual convention sponsorship sales and convention show guide editorial production
Marketing and Communications: Manage and execute marketing plans for ASLRRA events, programs and partnerships by creating and distributing marketing and communications materials. Responsibilities include:
Maintain annual marketing calendar and assist in implementation of marketing campaigns
Write copy and assist with design of collateral material, including print and electronic ads, post cards, brochures, event signage, programs and email blasts
Layout and distribute weekly e-newsletter, periodic news releases and other strategic communications elements
Assist with managing association’s social media accounts, generating content from marketing and communications material
Manage online committee pages and communities of practice, updating content and materials as requested by committee members and staff liaisons
Track and analyze marketing and communications activities and outreach efforts
Meeting Preparation and Execution: Assist with planning and execution of events, including Annual Convention, lobbying day, Fall Regional Meetings and Training Seminars. Responsibilities include:
Support design and fulfillment for meeting collateral, including registration materials, signage, agenda/program and presentation templates
Manage fulfillment of sponsorship benefits, meeting sponsor expectations related to visibility and brand recognition
Participate in on-site event set up; assist with attendee badges and materials; manage on-site registration
Compile and post meeting materials and presentations to website post-event
Handle post-event survey distribution, collection, tabulation and analysis

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Business marketing experience
Excellent writing and presentation skills and high attention to detail
Computer savvy with database experience
Minimum two years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities outlined above, preferably in a membership association setting
Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
Experience with membership, marketing, and project management strongly preferred
Experience with email distribution platforms and online survey tools and forms (e.g. iContact, Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, SurveyGizmo, JotForm, Canva, Google Docs and Google Analytics) strongly preferred
Experience with iMIS database system / Rise website platform strongly preferred
