Oversee input of financial data into AMS and financial reporting systems
Responsible for managing investments and maintaining positive cash flow
Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets. Oversees the preparation of all financial reporting
Assists the Deputy ED/COO in budget development and oversight, eventually responsible for building the budget
Analyzes financial systems and procedures for maximum effectiveness
Manages contracts, maintains contracts and may negotiate new and / or renewal of contracts, including copiers
Responsible for risk management, including insurance, facilities, events, personnel
Manages employee benefits, payroll, and HR
Foundation, responsible for reporting, tracking, compliance, and financial documentation
Is a designated signatory on all accounts and, in the absence of the Executive Director/CEO, may sign requisitions, purchase orders and checks.
Approves all check requests and procurement card (p-Card) transactions.
Works closely with staff to ensure the correct use of budget account/cost center entries for check requests and p-Card reconciliation statements.
Oversees all aspects of the Association’s Human Resource Department. The major areas directed are: a) recruiting; b) employment and compliance to regulatory concerns; c) employee orientation development and training; d) policy development and documentation; e) employee relations; and f) benefits administration.
Handles sensitive and confidential communications, projects and information.
OPERATIONS AND STAFF
Oversees the Illinois ASBO office operations staff.
Assists with any duties or tasks that may be required to promote the success of the Annual Conference, including five days of on-site assigned responsibilities.
Must bring demonstrated skills in financial affairs, financial management, data analysis, and financial reporting. Must have the ability to manage, develop and lead other staff members. Understanding of associations and or education is a plus. Experience with Salesforce preferred.
A degree in finance, accounting or other business management field is required. MBA or Masters’ Degree in Business, Finance Accounting, or CSBO Endorsement preferred. A successful track record of at least 5 years in a financial management position, with evidence of increasing responsibility and a strong commitment to one’s profession; and experience with the complex issues surrounding the financing and management of non-profits.
