The Austin Contractors & Engineers Association (ACEA) seeks a Membership Coordinator to provide high level administrative support for association member events and programs.
Primary responsibilities will include managing the association membership events and supporting various active committees.
Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2-3 years of administrative and membership-related experience, preferably in an association setting. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Duties listed below are representative of the work:
Respond to member inquiries through phone or email in a timely and professional manner
Track prospective members; assist with recruitment
Ensure accurate member counts for reporting purposes
Fulfill membership database administration tasks, including maintenance of database, invoicing and renewals, list generation, login/password requests
Follow up with lapsed members via surveys and phone calls
Track supplies and place orders as needed
Assist with projects and programs: compiles meeting materials, prepares meeting agendas, takes and distributes minutes for various committees
Assists with nomination and election process
Assists with meetings and events planning; prepares materials as needed
Sends meeting invitations via Outlook
Creates event online registrations
Assists in promotion of events and membership programs
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business preferred
Minimum of 2 -3 years administrative and membership-related experience; association experience preferred
Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues
Strong customer service skills with high level interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail
Strong editing and proofreading skills necessary
Communicates clearly, fluently and knowledgeably with members, vendors, and prospects
Proficient in all forms of media and basic office equipment
MS Office Suite experience preferred (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat and web-based services helpful.
