This position supports the AES mission in the creation and dissemination of educational resources for professionals working to eradicate epilepsy and its consequences. The major focus of this position is to capture and maintain documentation of compliance with AES policies, accreditation criteria, standards, policies, and information for reporting requirements.
Works with Director of Education and Professional Development to ensure that AES activities comply with accreditation criteria, standards and policies. Participate in the development and maintenance of all compliance documentation to meet accreditation and reporting requirements; prepare annual accreditation reports and any reports needed by co/joint?providers.
Prepares projected budgets for assigned activities and reconciles budget with monthly reports. Codes and submits invoices related to budget.
Makes application to ABPN for MOC points as assigned; maintains accreditation and MOC records.
Maintains databases required for reporting annually to the ACCME, ABPN and other medical boards, and other regulatory entities.
Coordinates abstract management for the AES annual meetings and other live events including regular and late?breaking – platform set up/updates and monitoring; communications with authors, reviewers and staff; day?to?day support of review process, assigning abstracts to reviewers, supporting reviewers during process (access, troubleshooting); marking all submissions with review status (accepted/rejected), preparing and distributing notifications of review status, preparing and distributing notifications and required forms for awards.
Provides administrative support for committees, task forces, and work groups as assigned.
Coordinates assigned directly/jointly provided activities and projects to ensure that quality standards and milestones are met; prospectively notifies Director of unanticipated variances from projected budget.
Provides Director with regular reports of activities under the incumbent’s purview.

3-5 years of experience working for an accredited provider (ACCME, ANCC, ACPE).
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with staff and membership with a high level of diplomacy and effectiveness. Clear, timely and appropriate oral and written communication.
Ability to work within a small team structure with excellent customer service (internal and external).
Problem?solving and decision?making.
Project management and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
Knowledgeable regarding Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Essential Areas and Elements or other major accrediting entity requirements.
Proficient in MSOffice and working with PDF documents.
Proficient in excel? developing and tracking budgets.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Ability to problem solve and make decisions independently but appropriately escalates issues to the Director.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
