A search is underway for a President of the Forging Industry Association (FIA), located in Cleveland. FIA is a trade association comprising approximately 200 corporate members representing North American metal forging producers and forging industry suppliers. FIA’s forging members account for more than 75 percent of the custom forging volume produced annually in North America.
FIA operates with a staff of seven and a $2-4 million annual budget, and with a mission to improve its members’ global competitiveness. The association’s six primary areas of focus are: industry benchmarking, global networking, training and education, public policy advocacy, driving demand for North American forgings, and developing and transferring technology. To advance the forging industry in these focus areas, FIA produces a biennial trade show, two annual member meetings, and several training workshops and seminars throughout the year. It also collects and distributes industry data for benchmarking purposes, sponsors numerous member committees, and supports an educational and research foundation.
