We’re seeking an administrative professional who will provide exceptional service to our volunteers. This Coordinator and Volunteer Advisor role in our Engineering & Technical Services department has two focus areas:1.Providing administrative support and/or program management to volunteer groups 2.Coordinating volunteer resources to assist in the delivery of AWWA's programs and services Job duties include:Administrative Support •Oversee and monitor budget, administrative, and business functions of assigned volunteer committees and programs including but not limited to meeting logistics, meeting notebooks, and minutes•Monitor and administer review processes for publications and policy statements; resolve issues with appropriate groups as needed•Respond to requests for information from AWWA volunteers, staff and external customers; request technical assistance as neededVolunteer Advisor•Develop, administer, and review policies and procedures which guide volunteer programs and services to include:oDevelop and implement an intake protocol for potential volunteers to ensure the best match between the skills, qualification, and interests of the volunteers and AWWA’s needsoOrient volunteers to their role and responsibilities as an AWWA volunteer and increase their understanding of the Association oPlan and implement formal and informal volunteer recognition activities
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience to include a combination of administrative support, volunteer coordination and logistics planning required. Experience working with technical documents strongly preferred.Candidate must be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and proactively meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to effectively manage partnerships with internal and external customers. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Experience using SharePoint highly desirable.
