As NIGP's Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing courses and developing new learning products. The Instructional Designer will evaluate SME-produced content, work with volunteer contributors and instructors to develop learning products. The Instructional Designer, has a focus to develop technology driven learning. The Knowledge Management Team is ultimately responsible for maintaining the credibility and reliability of all NIGP programs
Your Key Responsibilities are:
Course Development: Create and deploy new learning products. Identify and implement instructional design strategies and alternative approaches for content development and delivery. Determine learning strategies and objectives. Develop new assessments to ensure learning objectives are met.
Course Maintenance: Continually improve learning products based on review of evaluations and assessments and propose/manage modifications. Continually review existing learning products and maintain/enhance them on an on-going basis. Ensure all learning products are technically accurate and confirm to standards and styles.
Other Responsibilities: Explore new products and tools to enhance eLearning. Maintain subject matter awareness to ensure learning product relevancy. Create and maintain learning products in the LCMS.
Your Minimum Qualifications are:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design/Technology or related field; significant relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
Experience with instructional design methodologies and curriculum development within eLearning environments.
Your Ideal Skills and Abilities:
Technical and working knowledge of the design, development and delivery of eLearning instructional methodologies
Proven experience with LMS integrated with a CRM
Comprehensive demonstrated use of online authoring tools
Ability to work collaboratively to ensure courses are developed
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Solid organizational and time management skills
