The American Immigration Lawyers Association is the national association of immigration lawyers established to promote justice, advocate for fair and reasonable immigration law and policy, advance the quality of immigration and nationality law and practice, and enhance the professional development of its members.
AILA’s Membership Department is responsible for the recruitment and retention of members, processing applications, chapter relations, and other member service functions. We are seeking talent to join our team!
Your Role …
Our Component Relations Coordinator is primarily responsible for component and chapter outreach, and support in maximizing the AILA member communities experience.
Your Background …
Undergraduate degree and 2-4 years related experience. Prior hands-on experience working with membership-driven organization, especially in an association environment is a desired..
Position requires working knowledge of computer and web software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and HTML). Some membership database experience is desired. Track record in membership growth and development. Strong member-service orientation. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and organizational skills. Working knowledge of Internet research tools. Database management proficiency and skills. Capacity to develop a working knowledge of association products and services. Ability to work with volunteers or others in leadership and high level staff roles (internally & externally).
