As directed by the Senior Director, Membership, the Manager, Membership supports the activities of the membership and corporate relations team. Duties include tracking membership statistics; responding to member requests; light website maintenance; support of key relationships; and proposal development and project management. The Manager, Membership will be responsible for supporting all Membership activities – recruitment and retention, member services and engagement; oversight of all membership database activities, data collection and reporting; and providing assistance with other department activities, including the Board of Directors and other projects. The position is also responsible for development and maintenance of relationships within the organization, encouraging networking and connections across departments and between staff and the National Council membership. The Manager, Membership will be responsible for performing other duties, as needed.
Bachelors’ Degree in related field
3-5 years’ membership experience with proven track record of achieving outreach and recruitment goals; prior non-profit or behavioral health experience a plus
Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills
High level proficiency in Microsoft Office—MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; familiarity with membership database software preferred
Ability to contribute to a strong team-based environment
Results-oriented with a high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced environment
