The Association for Corporate Growth seeks a highly motivated National Advertising Sales Manager. This person will be primarily responsible for developing new business and executing key print and digital advertising sales strategies, tactics and action plans required to achieve established financial targets. This position will also manage their own sales pipeline (using Salesforce) to maximize sales accountability and efficiency with the goal of closing sales. They will be detail oriented, organized and an excellent communicator. This position will have direct and frequent contact with ACG’s advertisers and must be able to conduct themselves professionally at all times. The successful candidate should have executive presence and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Generate new business from organizations, by selling print and web advertising.
Formulate a sales strategy and manage the sales campaigns into new accounts.
Responsible for meeting the sales targets of the publication suite through effective lead generation, planning and executing contracts.
Develop lasting business relationships with advertisers, demonstrate follow-through, accountability, and conduct timely and regular communication.
Act as a communication liaison between ACG, advertisers, and all related departments/entities affected by the relationship.
Work closely with the partnership and publication teams to ensure placement of all collateral.
Work collaboratively with the Communications & Marketing Department to develop outreach messaging and materials to achieve ACG’s strategic business development plan.
Provide suggestions and assist with the development of new products and extensions based on client feedback, market research, and experience.
To perform this job successfully an individual must maintain the confidence and trust of the VP, Events & Partnerships as well as other senior staff members and volunteer leaders. The National Advertising Sales Manager must share the organization’s vision and expectations for organizational culture and service excellence.

Ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience in selling advertising to senior level decision makers
Proven ability to generate leads and cultivate client relationships
Ability to work independently
High level of attention to detail while working accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work directly with association members in a responsible, appropriate and service oriented way
Strong telephone and presentation skills (in-person and via teleconference)
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Excellent listening and communication skills, and ability to approach problems with a balanced and reasoned mindset
Working knowledge of the financial services industry, or strong desire to learn
Driven leader, motivated by results, with proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas and driving financial results and forecasting
Ability to travel to various locations with such frequency as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs (may include weekends)
Professional dress required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Individual regularly listens to and speaks with employees, customers, vendors, and business leaders
Ability to read, analyze and interpret data and information, effectively manage common inquiries or complaints from members, customers, vendors, and the public
High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce
Must have prior, demonstrable experience with Salesforce (data entry to reporting)
Must be able to use Excel to sort, de-duplicate and manipulate data
Must be able to effectively use Outlook for email, appointment setting, task lists, etc.
Perform duties in a professional office environment with moderate noise levels
Professional/Business casual work environment
Travel by airplane may be required
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Ability to stand for 4 hours
Additional Salary Information: Commission + base salary commensurate with experience.
