The Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) is seeking a Program Manager to join its high-performing team in Washington, D.C. The Program Manager is essential to the success of the organization’s mission-driven programs and activities. The ideal Program Manager has excellent organizational and planning skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and strong written and oral communication skills.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of meetings and conferences from conception to execution
Provides project management oversight for AAVMC programs and projects
Provides administrative support for fundraising and development activities
Manages the operations of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Assembly
3-5 years of experience in meeting planning and management, preferably in the nonprofit sector, required; experience in project management preferred
High level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize multifaceted projects/tasks required
Strong creative and problem solving skills required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required; knowledge of Microsoft Project desired
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
