Established in 1994, the Life Insurance Settlement Association represents more than 100 member firms and over 1,000 professionals from life settlement brokers, life settlement providers, institutional investors, life settlement servicers, and other service providers.
The mission of the Life Insurance Settle¬ment Association (LISA) is to advance the highest standards of practice and professional development for the industry, and to educate consumers and advisors about a life settlement as an alternative to lapse or surrender of a life insurance policy. As the nation’s oldest and largest trade association representing the secondary market for life insurance, LISA’s job is to educate the participants in its market, the consumers it serves, and those who regulate the industry.
The Association is the voice of the industry. The market is well-regulated affording consumers comprehensive protection under state life settlement laws. Members of the Association are required to annually attest to abiding by a Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct, including all appropriate laws and regulations.
The Administrative Assistant responsibilities include the following:
Serves as a sales assistant for website advertising sales & event sponsorship – Must be sales oriented and proactive.
Assists in selling and promoting exhibitor’s space.
Assists in implementing all aspects of sponsorship and exhibitor’s benefits.
Supports the planning of meeting and events.
Screens/prioritizes/directs incoming calls and mail/correspondence taking appropriate actions as necessary.
Maintains member records in Association Management System (AMS), Membersuite, makes amendments in AMS for any changes to member companies, creating/ending system relationships, pulls committee lists. Maintains conference website, develops email campaigns and manages registrations of event.
Participates in the design production for all print and digital pieces.
Proactively researches potential members, as well as keeps up-to-date with current membership tools and industry news.
Performs general clerical duties including, but not limited to, copying, scanning, mailing (physical and electronic), filing and faxing.
The successful candidate will meet the following: •3 to 5 years of senior administrative assistant experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. •Excellent communication (both oral and written). •Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Office products. •Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and have strong time-management skills. •Detail-oriented, self-starter with a resourceful attitude. •Effective web researching skills will be a constant requirement.
Desired Qualifications •Basic Web publishing tools •Graphic Design Experience with Adobe software knowledge. •Experience with Webinars.
