The Texas Association of Counties (TAC) is seeking a qualified person for the Web Services Manager position. Candidate must have a minimum of four years’ experience in web design and maintenance. Primary responsibilities are to develop, administer and maintain TAC websites, web applications and electronic mass communications. This position works to ensure the usability of TAC’s external websites. All work performed is in accordance with TAC’s brand and style. The position works with department staff and customers to manage websites and mass email platforms to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
Skills and experience needed include:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to relate to persons with a variety of cultural, economic and educational backgrounds;
High degree of professionalism in representing TAC in significant contacts with elected officials and members;
Strong understanding of the Internet and Internet-related technologies, including accessibility issues and standards;
Experience in usability and user-centered web design;
Experience in writing HTML and CSS for web pages and web-based applications;
Must be proficient in use of personal computer and Microsoft Office products including: Word, and Excel. Experience with Dreamweaver, Informz or similar email marketing system, Wufoo or similar form builder, Remote Desktop Services and Internet Information Server (IIS) required;
Ability to plan and manage multiple projects at once to meet tight deadlines;
Strategic communications skills;
Ability to collaborate with designers and other Communications Department members to develop websites and mass emails;
Must function independently with minimal supervision;
Excellent time management and record keeping required;
