The Center for Strategy and Partnerships is seeking an Associate, State League Services. The individual in this position is responsible for serving as a resource to the 49 state municipal leagues, which are key members and partners of the National League of Cities. The individual will work collaboratively with the Manager, State League Services, the Senior Executive and Director, Strategy and Partnerships, and staff across the organization to provide programmatic and administrative support to State League Services, assist in managing relationships, and implement initiatives that benefit the nation's state league directors and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as secondary NLC liaison to the 49 state municipal leagues, their executive directors and staff, and the State League Steering Committee.
Monitor and respond to day-to-day inquiries from state municipal leagues.
Assist in the planning, preparation and execution of NLC conferences: Congressional City Conference (March)and City Summit (November); and two annual state league conferences: State League Staff Wrokshop (July) and State League Directors Workshop (August).
Provide meeting planning support, including assistance wiht webinars, development of PowerPoint presentations, workshops and meetings at NLC's annual conferences and two annual state league workshops.
Work with member services staff and staff across the organization to coordinate NLC's presence at and travel to state municipal league conventions.
Help develop, prepare and disseminate a variety of resources for state league directors and staff, including a staff directory, annual convention survey, annual legislative survey and annual salary survey.
Contribute content to NLC's blog, City Speaks and maintain updates to the State League Services page on the NLC website.
