The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB), a non-profit scientific society, is seeking an Education and Public Outreach Coordinator to promote and strengthen biochemistry and molecular biology education through programming events and improving career development resources and opportunities. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining education, career, and public outreach information on the Society’s website
Collaborating with the department director and ASBMB staff to develop new initiatives in programming and career development
Coordinating event planning for committee retreats and other committee related events
Assisting with the development and execution of departmental webinars and training programs
Skills & Qualifications:
A./B.S. in Life Sciences, Master’s or Ph.D. in molecular life science field preferred
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Web Development, social media platforms
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Science communication and e-learning platform experience preferred
Prior experience at a non-profit scientific organization and/or working with volunteers is a plus, as is experience with science outreach programs
