Management of activities and functions of the FCCLA national programs, chapter and individual recognition processes.
Percent of time spent: 40%
Develop and recommend new or revised program goals and objectives, , recommends and monitors appropriate budget allocations
Develop and schedule program of work plan in accordance with organization’s strategic plan, specifications, and funding limitations
Oversee daily operations and coordinate activities of programs and determine priorities
Confer with and advise staff, students and others to provide programmatic technical advice, and problem-solving assistance
Provide answers to questions, program goals, and policy interpretation; or refer to appropriate department person when unable to respond
Manage the processes and systems of the Program Award Applications and Awards
Coordinate activities of program with inter-related activities of other programs, departments or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and specifications
Evaluate program effectiveness to develop improved methods; devises evaluation methodology and implements; analyzes results and recommends and/or takes appropriate action
Recruit program participants, members and volunteers utilizing most appropriate promotional or marketing methods, such as individual letters, brochures or presentations at meetings
Manage the process to recruit program workshop presenters at NCM and NLC
Interact and maintain liaison with students, staff and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives
Manages activities and functions of partner contribution projects.

Coordinates activities of program with inter-related activities of other programs, departments or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and specifications
Support Development staff in developing content and copy for marketing of program partnership projects
Review applications or other program documents independently or in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program
Evaluate partner program effectiveness to develop improved methods; devises evaluation methodology and implement; analyzes results and recommends and/or takes appropriate action
Recruit partner program participants, members and volunteers utilizing most appropriate promotional or marketing methods, such as individual letters, brochures or presentations at meetings
Monitor partnership budget and requirements and develops reports for contributing partner
Interact and maintains liaison with students, staff and partner agencies in facilitating partnership program objectives
Provide support for Competitive Events, which includes STAR Events, Family and Consumer Sciences Knowledge Bowl and Skill Demonstration Events.
Percent of time spent: 20%
Coordinate with Senior Competitive Events Manager for participant and volunteer registration for all levels of the Family and Consumer Sciences / LifeSmarts Knowledge Bowl
Manage with the Senior Competitive Events Manager, the participant registration for Skill Demonstration Events
Manage Skill Demonstrations and Life Smarts Knowledge Bowl at one National Cluster Meeting
Assist with Online Level I STAR Events registration and evaluation results distribution
Gather updates and publishes scholarship opportunities for participants, as requested
Engage with the Competitive Events Advisory Team by participating in calls and meetings
Assist with questions, inquiries, and field telephone calls, as needed
Assist with data and website management for Competitive Events, as needed
Assist with implementation of 32 national STAR Events, providing support for over 4200 participants and 1400 volunteers
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Job-related certification may be preferred or required.
Experience: 5 – 7 years’ related experience to include administrative, project and/or program management experience. Supervisory experience strongly preferred. Tech savvy with intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications, database and presentation software; demonstrated ability to master new applications quickly.

Is effective in a variety of presentation settings; commands attention and can manage group process to stay focused on agenda.

Additional Salary Information: In addition to the 11 holidays that we observe, each employee will receive between 13-25 vacation days, 12 sick days, 1 personal day, and 1 community service day. We also provide up to a 7% employer contribution into our employees 403B, after 1 year of service. Finally, FCCLA covers 90% of employees premium for medical, dental and vision insurance, and 60% of our employee's dependents.
