The American Council on Education, the nation’s most influential, respected, and visible higher education association currently has an opening for a Web Content Senior Specialist. This position reports to the Director of Web Strategy and Operations and manages content on the ACE website, ACEnet.edu, and leads projects that support ACE’s web properties. The Web Content Senior Specialist works cross-functionally with various departments to support the digital needs of the Council.
Collaborate proactively with department leadership to:
Enhance ACE’s overall brand and its products and services.
Oversee the process for authoring, editing, publishing, and maintaining content for the web.
Ensure content is engaging, timely, and relevant.
Stay current with ACE audiences, business strategies and marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with colleagues and vendors to plan and implement changes to design and functionality of our web properties.
Gain insights from web analytics and create and implement plans to drive conversions, improve visitor interactions, and optimize performance of our web properties.
Train content producers on guidelines and procedures for the ongoing management of web content.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in digital communications, marketing, or a related field.
Experience building web layouts with HTML and CSS (Note – this is not a developer position)
Minimum of 3 years proven experience writing, editing, and maintaining web content using a content management system, preferably SharePoint.
Demonstrated experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting web analytics (Google Analytics).
Ability to plan and facilitate user training sessions.
Work effectively both as a team member and independently and demonstrate ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
Resourceful, reliable, and accountable team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Interest in public policy advocacy, research, and other initiatives related to higher education.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
