Administrative, Clerical, Support, Education and Training
AISC, the leading technical institute and trade association for the structural steel industry, is looking for an Education Coordinator to assist in the planning and execution our Engineering & Research department’s educational programs and seminars for industry professionals, university faculty and students. Some specific job responsibilities include:
Point of Contact for Continuing Education Approval Status
Register and maintain AISC Continuing Education (PDH) qualifications in all jurisdictions
Report PDH hours, maintain speaker agreement records
Manage Electronic Communications and Records
Compile, maintain, and organize electronic records, files, webinar participant surveys
Assist in creating and maintaining various webpages
Coordinate Live Seminars
Arrange speaker assignments and seminar sponsorships, collect and transcribe seminar surveys.
Arrange and Assist with Webinars & Night School
Work with the webinar hosting service to track participant attendance, respond to emails, oversee live session webinar attendee trouble shooting.
Gather and maintain Night School participant data, including surveys, chat logs, attendance records, quiz and exam scores.
Distribute Night School EEU Certificates and make qualified participants happy!
Administer Faculty Benefits for Student and Educator Programs
Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 - 3 years of relevant administrative experience preferred, preferably in the academic community.
Ability to travel at least 2-3 times each year to attend seminars and company events.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software or similar applications. Experience working with iMIS a plus!
To be successful in this position the candidate will also need to be organized, able to meet critical deadlines, outgoing and able to connect well with the volunteers and consultants involved with AISC Education programs, quick to grasp technical jargon of our industry, happy working in a team environment, and enjoy juggling a variety of tasks and priorities each day.
