The American Anthropological Association (AAA) a national non-profit organization located in the DC-metro area seeks to hire a Marketing/Sales Coordinator.
This position requires an organized and motivated individual to aggressively solicit listings for, and coordinate the publication of, AAA’s annual AnthroGuide, an online database of anthropology departments and institutions. Candidate will oversee operations and development of the AnthroGuide database, the print AnthroGuide, and AnthroGuide websites, and the solicitation of sales by two temps during peak sales months.
This position also coordinates with outside vendors and advertisers regarding ad sales for Anthropology News, the AAA member newsletter, and AAA online platforms. It is tasked with marketing efforts to support these products, research for new product development, and coordinating overall advertising efforts (including generating advertising leads) to facilitate the goals of the AAA.

Ideal candidate has solid administrative skills with 3-5 years marketing/sales experience, ideally in a non-profit environment. Successful applicant will possess excellent communication and organizational skills; be an expert in PC utilities with strong skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook, including mail merge functions; and be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and self-reliant.
