Reporting to the Operations Manager, this individual is responsible for accounting functions, including processing of accounts payable and receivable, preparation of financial reports, payroll processing, and leading the audit and budget processes. In addition, this individual performs limited human resource functions. The performance of duties will be in a manner that recognizes a commitment to CRCC and its customers.
Perform all activities related to recording daily cash receipts inclusive of generating accounts receivable reports and preparation and entry of general ledger transactions.
Verify proper approval/coding on accounts payable invoices and enter for payment.
Process accounts payable checks weekly or as needed.
Reconcile bank and credit card processing statements on a monthly basis.
Actively manage cash flow and prepare cash flow projections.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements inclusive of quarterly reforecasting.
Prepare financial projections as needed.
Lead annual audit process and prepare related documents for auditors.
Prepare and issue Forms 1099 and 1096.
Gather documentation to support Form 990 preparation.
Lead annual budget preparation inclusive of monthly revenue and expense allocations.
Track and maintain business insurance coverages and contracts.
Create correspondence to vendors and customers regarding accounts payable or receivable issues.
Enter data from timesheets to process payroll on a biweekly basis.
Maintain and update payroll program for any employee change.
Prepare reports and record transactions within the general ledger to properly allocate labor and payroll disbursements.
Calculate, prepare, and process 401(k) and HSA deductions and transfers.
Track and update report on staff time banks biweekly.
Human Resource Functions
Analyze and administer all employee benefits programs.
Administer 401(k) plan inclusive of routine annual filings and participant notifications.
Essential Job Requirements/Skills
Bachelor’s degree in the area of finance or minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting position. Non-profit experience a plus.
Highly proficient in QuickBooks.
High degree of computer literacy, excellent data entry skills, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities with demanding timetables.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Proactive, creative, and innovative approach to problem-solving.
Effective organizational, analytical, and time management skills; detail-oriented; focused on accuracy and compliance.
Additional Job Functions/Requirements/Skills
Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Work above and beyond a 37.5-hour work week may be required at times to fulfill the responsibilities and duties of the position, including some weekend work. This position is exempt under the guidelines of FLSA.
