The Education Assistant, a non-exempt employee of the Texas Association for Home Care, Inc., is responsible to the Education and Meetings Manager (s).
Responsibilities: Assist the Education department in daily operations.
Assists Education & Clinical Manager in coordination of speaker communications and correspondence as assigned.
Accountable for handout materials for conferences, including tracking receipt of handouts from speakers by deadline dates, developing handout cover pages and posting to TAHC&H website.
Develops and maintains speaker and topic database, event history database.
Assists TNA Approved Provider Unit Nurse Planner in maintenance and filing of CNE records and annual log.
Assists the Exhibit & Meetings Manager with conference and webinar execution.
Enter conference and webinar registrations into iMIS database and troubleshoot registration issues with attendees.
Assists with emailing webinar continuing education certificates to webinar attendees.
Create conference agendas and event signage.
Print and stuff attendee, speaker and staff name badges prior to conferences.
Coordinate badge scanning logistics before, during and after conference with third party vendor.
Assist with creating information packets for all event exhibitors.
Travel to live conferences throughout the state of Texas with the education department to execute onsite registration and other conference duties as assigned. (approx. 8 events annually)
Provides general administrative support throughout TAHC&H office
Answer phones and transfer to appropriate department.
Assist with member website issues.
Other related duties as assigned.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess administrative skills. Must be highly organized, capable of setting priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to handle confidential information. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and Association members. Must be able to follow through with a variety of projects simultaneously. Must have a positive, supporting attitude. Must be willing to travel on a regular basis, occasional overtime when necessary.
