The Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE) seeks a Director of Middle Level Services to join our team. AMLE is a non-profit membership association located in Westerville, OH. With a membership of more than 51,000 middle level educators—primarily teachers, principals, and teacher educators—we are the premier association focused on the educational and developmental needs of all students ages 10-15.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Professional Development a. Plan programs, services, and special events to support professional development objectives based on the strategic plan. b. Evaluate all professional development programs and recommend program modifications or creation of new programs and services, based on research and objectives.
School Improvement a. Manage the school assessment products and services. b. Facilitate assessment data analysis. c. Develop and implements long-term, short-term, and customized professional development services.
Curriculum a. Facilitate integration of content with other association efforts. b. Develops curriculum based on the tenets of This We Believe and integrates this content into association offerings.
Speaking a. Present speeches that are convincing and capture an audience's attention on middle level education to a live audience.
b. Present at conferences, webinars, and workshops.
General. a. Demonstrate initiative and reliability; take on tasks, follow through, and readily assist others in meeting targets and goals. b. Develop and nurture relationships with school districts, state departments of education, and the association affiliates to gain collaborative support for the association products and services. c. Assist in the development of budgets and monitor expenses and revenue against budgets.

Advance middle level education degree/experience.
Experience working in an education setting as an educator or administrator, preferably in the middle grades.
Develop and deliver presentations.
Develop, direct, and manage on-site speaker cadre.
Develop collaborative relationships.
Manage the school assessment products and services.
Develop curriculum based on This We Believe.
Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
