Manage all Volunteer Experience initiatives, which include but are not limited to the coordination of volunteer boards and the management of councils and committees, volunteer awards and recognition, scholarship and grant management, volunteer appreciation, RISE Awards process, and Foundation Events. Manage volunteer communications and outreach efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the production of International Board of Directors and Global Board of Trustee meetings to include: preparation of board materials, event logistics, maintaining and updating meeting schedules, and presentation materials. 20%
Manage the execution and fulfillment of all MPI Foundation grant and scholarship programs including major grants and serves as staff liaison for Grants and Scholarship Committee. 20%
Manage the international MPI and MPI Foundation volunteer engagement process by tracking volunteer applications, evaluations, selections, notifications, member lists and orientation. 20%
Manage preparation and dissemination of all volunteer-related communications. 10%
Manage the annual RISE Awards project to include event planning, timelines, applications, evaluations, selections, and communications. Serve as staff liaison to RISE Judging Panel and serve as main point of contact for RISE recipients and presenters. 10%
Develop a comprehensive volunteer recognition program and provides oversight for purchase and personalization of all volunteer recognition awards including budget, approvals, and prompt delivery to recipients. This includes correspondence to recognize international volunteers and past leaders. 10%
Serve as staff liaison for Foundation Liaisons. Manage communication to liaisons and Chapter Liaison with the MPI Foundation Global Board of Trustees. 5%
Oversee MPI Foundation silent and wine auction and SEC silent auction process 5%
Five or more years of relevant work experience in associations, volunteer engagement, project coordination, or communications
Bachelor’s Degree in not-for-profit management, business, communications or equivalent; or five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to categorize and organize multiple levels of detail
Written Communications - Skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct business communications
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word and database management (knowledge of Aptify and Board Effect desired)
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues and volunteers
Working knowledge of project management - ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
