Premier global organization with a membership that includes more than 5000 industry specific specialists in 100 countries is currently looking for a Development Director. The Foundation is supported by their parent organization, by raising crucial funding for researchers worldwide. Since 2000, the organization has provided research fellowships in North America, Europe and Asia.
Due to their explosive growth, they are seeking to hire a dynamic Development Director. This new, hands on position will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for cultivating private, corporate, foundation and individual sponsors to significantly expand their fellowship program. This includes preparation, organization and implementation of fundraising goals and timelines, and ensuring that these funding sources are vigorously developed for continued and increased contributions.
The ideal candidate for this new position will be well versed in their field, self-motivated, and a results-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and problem solving capabilities. You will need to be comfortable talking with major donors and research physicians, and have the ability to work independently, as well as with the associations team.
Creates a strategic plan to identify business opportunities; executes the opportunities by building strong relationships through key initiatives.
Maintain regular contact with financial supporters, organizations, and commercial companies to enhance the Foundations image.
Works cohesively with the Executive team to determine best practices.
