The National Confectioners Association has a sweet opportunity for a high energy candidate to join the team that produces the Sweets & Snacks Expo, a three time winner of Trade Show Week’s 50 Fastest Growing Shows award. The show is held annually in Chicago and comprises nearly 200,000 square feet of exhibit space, more than 800 exhibitors and 18,000 attendees.
We are seeking a motivated, organized, detailed professional who is also a creative problem solver. Must posses strong verbal and written communication skills and agility with Microsoft Office. Thrives in a team atmosphere and has a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. High energy required with a strong focus on customer service and relationship building. Aptitude for identifying and delivering new markets a plus.
Casual work environment; great Georgetown location; some travel required; neither benefits nor parking are offered; not a remote position.
Exhibit Sales and Customer Service –
Proactive relationship building and sales development/recruiting new exhibitors through prospecting and attending other trade events
Maintain a high level of customer service
Manage international pavilions and work with organizers to ensure successful participation
Promote and sell participation in various marketing programs designed to enhance the event, e.g. New Product Showcase, awards programs and special floor displays
Yearlong engagement with exhibitors to maintain/enhance relationships
Development and management of the onsite tour program designed to recruit new exhibitors • Recruit U.S. exhibitors to participate in our USA Pavilion in Germany • Ability to address return on investment for current and prospective exhibitors
Operations and Logistics -
Manage and utilize the various administration programs (iMIS, Map Your Show, Passport) to manage booth sales, collect and process booth payments, maintain the database and create sales reports
Primary liaison with secondary show vendors, service providers and floor managers
Development and oversight of planning manual production
Other operational duties as required
4 Year degree or commensurate experience
